No INTERVIEW???

Hey, guys. i submitted my application on Dec 19th, and received no notification of interviews yet. Anything wrong?

I submitted mine on the 19th as well. A few days ago, I received an e-mail from Princeton saying that an alumnus will contact me in less than two weeks regarding an interview. Some of my friends applied before me and haven’t heard at all. Others applied after me and heard at the same time. I don’t think it’s anything to worry about. It depends on when your application was completed (i mean not only CommonApp, but also official score reports and stuff) and how many people are available in your area. I live next to a huge city where we have alumni associations from practically every university. You can call the Admissions Office, but I would wait a week or so before doing so.

I submitted my application on October 6th. It took almost 3 months (and literally 2 months after receiving a likely letter) to get an email notification regarding an interview, but alas, it came yesterday. Nothing’s wrong; just wait and eventually it’ll come.

You know that you might NEVER be contacted for an interview, right? You’ll get a call if there are enough volunteers in your area. Otherwise, no interview. Don’t sweat as it’s optional

The thing that’s puzzling is that the e-mail from the admissions office states that ALL applicants “will get the opportunity to interview”. This doesn’t seem to make sense given that there would be 18,000 applicants to interview and report on in a two month period. I suspect that people getting contacted for interviews have already made it thru the “first round” of cuts…

^No. This is definitely not true. Whether or not you have heard from your interviewer yet in no way indicates anything about your application other than that it is complete (except for the interview, of course).
