No interview?

My D applied on Dec 26 as RD but so far, nobody contacted her for interview.

What do we need to do?
Just wait and do not request interview or better to contact admission office and ask for the interview?

FYI, we live in big city and I think there might be quite a good number of Alumni.

Read this: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/brown-university/810532-brown-interview-faq-answers.html</a>. It’s at the top of the forum.

Just because you live in a big city with lots of alums is not relevant. Big cities have more applicants, and many many alumni do not volunteer. In fact, some of our biggest problems finding enough volunteers happen in well-populated areas.

My advice, as stated in the FAQ thread, is to call around Feb. 1 if you haven’t been contacted.

Is it a good idea to call? I can imagine what answer the caller will receive.

I wouldn’t recommend it if I thought it was a bad idea to call.

Brown really wants all applicants to be interviewed. If you haven’t been contacted, then the alumni office tries to help. The area chair is contacted with the student’s name, and works to fix the situation.

so then is it normal to not hear back in regards to an interview?
I applied December 21 and have yet to hear from them

@RAL2274: See above, please.

And people wonder why I get irritated.

@fireandrain: Yeah, it is kinda stunning sometimes. At least it’s not as bad as Yahoo! Answers. “How do I make ice?”
