dude,
Help has arrived. Only the top 31.9% get invites to Sunday at the Square. So if you didn't get one, relax, you may be part of the 0.1% of the admitted applicant pool that didn't get an invite.

Or..........maybe you (not dude55) should think about this for a fraction of a second. Ok, NYU gets approximately 35,000 applications a year. With a 32% acceptance rate, NYU admits 11,200 kids a year. Here's where the brain cells start colliding. Let's do some conceptual thinking. 1 Sunday, 1 Room, 11200 kids, and 1 college really really going out of their way to convince them to attend. NYU's thought process. "Hey! Let's send invites to all our admitted students, even the ones who barely made it, so we can pack them into one room like cattle! That'll really make them want to come to our school! Sure, they won't hear or see any of the speakers, nor will they have room to eat, but maybe the really nerdy ones will get laid for their first time just by the virtue of proximity!" That sounds pretty likely. Or....NYU sends these invites to the top 4% as an ass-kissing move to get them to attend. Which one sounds more likely?

Who is this Aaron0602? I'd hope an accepted student, but I'm leaning towards alumni. Regardless, with comments like:
"but maybe the really nerdy ones will get laid for their first time just by the virtue of proximity!"
I hope that's part of the student body.

Oh, and I'm also relieved I'm not necessarily rejected.

Actually, I'm just a dxck. Sorry if I was harsh, but honestly, after reading so many posts that ask the same question (OH MY GOD! I DIDN'T GET A SUNDAY AT THE SQUARE INVITE! AM I REJECTED FOR LIFE????????? I ALSO CAN'T READ OR USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION, BECAUSE IF I COULD, I WOULDN'T BE ASKING THE SAME DUMB QUESTION THAT'S BEEN ASKED OVER AND OVER!), I'd take solace in locking myself in a cave in the Gobi Desert and listening to Lindsay Lohan's latest record in a continuous loop, interrupted only by the occasional Celine Dion track. Honestly people, come on.

No no no, I meant it in a positive way.
I thought the post was funny.
Who thought I'd be laughing on a college admissions message board. It's a positive thing.
I meant that I hoped you're part of the student body as a reassurement that if I get into NYU I can have some laughs along the way. I've always been paranoid of getting stuck at school with a bunch of uptight dxcks. A comedic one is much preffered.

Thanks for the clarification Garrett, i was totally ready to firebomb your house :). But I'm glad you liked my posts. Unfortunately CC probably won't when they find them, and consequently, you won't be seeing much of me around here. Dude, no comment ;).

Only the superstars are invited to this. Just because one did not get an invite to Sunday at the Square does not mean that a rejection is coming from NYU. However, what it does mean is that is that it can very likely go either way since you're not at the top of the NYU applicant pool, and hence not a shoe-in.
