I have recently tried my account on college boards website. However, as I don’t have a last name, and the last name field is mandatory I am not sure what to write in it.
Please help!
So all your school records, passport, drivers licence, birth certificate etc, just say “Steve?” No patronymic or toponymic or anything?
Yes I only have my first name “ legal name” on all my documents. For my A levels my name is firstname .

OK, so what’s the issue? You can’t create a CB account or you can’t access your CB account? I’m assuming you can’t create an account because you access it via a username,not firstname lastname.
Step one: Contact the College Board.

If you into a stone wall with College Board, sometimes the HS college counselor can call a special phone line just for such people and get things fixed as well.
For example, our relative used his correct SSN for most exams but for some reason used his sister’s SSN for others. The counselor was able to get the records merged after college board told him and he he’d always gave two separate records—one with his correct SSN and one with the wrong one.
I had the same issue when creating my CB profile, I contacted the CB and they told me to put NONAME in the last name filed.
Or only have a last name and no first name. Or put the name in twice “Steve Steve” to use Skieurope’s example.
The most important thing is to be consistent. If you use it as a last name, always use it that way.
