No leadership positions...

<p>Ok well...quite frankly, I have no leadership positions in my school. I am in:</p>

<p>Key Club - Food Sales Rep.
Yearbook - Sports Editor (wish I was editor-in-chief)
Varsity Basketball - (Hopefully I could be captain...but I was goofball last season. Fooling around doesn't show much leadership quality)
Peace of Mind - (IDK)</p>

<p>Last year I had the opportunity to be a leader of Yearbook, but I felt very arrogant asking the Yearbook Supervisor if I could be Editor-in-chief. Well a more-vocal kid, came and took my Editor spot from me. The two co-editor positions went to these two girls who had been in the club (not at all actively) since Freshman year. Key Club there was no hope for me as I joined to late. </p>

<p>This will inevitably hurt my application. What can I do to alleviate my situation?</p>

<p>Don’t sweat your lack of leadership.</p>

<p>The overwhelming majority of colleges don’t use ECs as admissions factors. What’s most important are your stats – and for publics – your state of residence.</p>
