i have no likely letter or anything. i know the decisions are coming out on 28th but surely they would've sent a likely one by now? does that mean i'm not in?

Likely letters are an exception to the norm. Most accepted students don’t receive anything until the actual decisions come out.

I honestly think I won’t get in at this point anymore ): Sighhh.

Are likely letters only given to students who applied for a specific college or major?

Likely letters appear to be intended to attract the best among the “underrepresented populations” – i.e., women in engineering & designated URMs.

So if you didn’t get one, hang in there. Not getting one is not a sign of rejection.

I should also add: not getting into your preferred college isn’t the end of all hope in life It might be hard to believe at this time of your life, but the world is full of very successful (and charming) people who didn’t go to a top 20 school.

Wait. Are all admitted female engineers get a likely? or only some admitted female engineers get them?

The latter is the case to the best of my knowledge. Sorry if I caused panic.
