No likely letter = end of the world?

<p>I'm just wondering how common it is for top-notch schools to send out likely letters. I've read on here that a few schools do, but how many people really get them? Do they send out likely letters to all admitted students, or is it only a fraction? I'm starting to get worried! </p>

<p>It’s a small fraction of the accepted students that get them. Unless you are valedictorian, 4.0 UW, 2400/36, cured cancer, and founded a million dollar company there is no reason to expect one. Good luck!</p>
