Hi, I'm a NM semifinalist from SoCal. I never got a rejection letter, and so far, I haven't gotten an acceptance letter either. Does it usually take this long to get a decision?

yayoooooooooooo

I would call the NM office tomorrow. I would assume since letters have been sent to home addresses, they would be able to tell you your status. Good luck!

Loncria, just FYI, if you call, they will tell you need to wait 2 weeks before you do so.

Weird. Because I got my finalist mail on Sat.

Is it possible I didn’t make the cut? I got all my paperwork in and sent my SAT scores, but perhaps I missed something?

Have you asked your principal/counselor at school? They should have been notified last week. It is possible you didn’t make it, depending on your grades, etc., but you would have received a rejection letter, which could have gotten lost. If everything was in order, though…good grades, good recommendation, etc., you should have moved on to finalist. Most do.

Although an American citizen, I live overseas. Consequently, mail can be a real hassle. I am pretty confident that I made it to finalist standing, but is there some way for me to find out - aside from waiting for the mail to come? Should my GC have been notified via email or can I call NMSC?

We are in the Dallas area. Daughters GC said she was on finalist list, but no letter from NMC, nothing official from the school, & no letter yet. Was told letters went out last week. Kind of weird it’s taking so long.

Just realized I wrote letter twice ^ ^ on that post.
I obviously need to get better about proofing when I use my phone. Did I mention we still don’t have a letter??

Also still no letter. I asked my counselors and apparently THEY don’t have it either?
