No Mail In Nebraska

I STILL HAVENT GOTTEN MY DECISION!!! AND I DONT WANT AN AWKWARD CONVERSATION ON THE TELEPHONE ABOUT MY DECISION. Oh well. Tomorrow, Crosses fingers

Bowdoin, why is the mail taking so long?

If you haven't gotten it yet, I think it probably got lost in the mail. You can call them and ask them to mail it again, maybe--you would have to wait a while, but that could avoid the discussion of your decision.

Call the admissions office and ask them to email your decision

^ ditto

It won't be awkward because they won't tell you---they'll e-mail you...(trust me I'm speaking from experience)

OK. I'm calling :-)

update us on the verdict.

lecorbeau, did you get in? I'm from California too (Bay Area) and I got waitlisted, unfortunately.

wait listed

I called, and asked the representative to send me an e-mail. He said Bowdoin doesn't send decisions via e-mail. I said "OK". Then he said that an ADCOM would call me later in the afternoon. She called, and it was somewhat of awkward conversation because I got wait listed. It would have been more awkward, however, had I gotten straight up rejected.

I'm officially wait listed, although my spirits remain high because Bowdoin said that they would probably be taking a lot of people off the wait list this year. So I'm not a dead duck, quite yet.

I got accepted to Colby, wait listed at Bowdoin. Can't ask for too much more than that considering my average stats.

no, I got waitlisted too---but am trying my hardest to get off of it--hopefully I do but also get some money too....
