So yesterday my mother and I updated the FAFSA because her tax-person finally sent her the final income and everything for 2010. She is going to file them tomorrow but we wanted to update it and see our new EFC. Every time I log onto FAFSA now though, there's nowhere that says I can make corrections again. Why is this?? I thought I can update it anytime I want. We just need to change 'Will File' to 'Already Filled' basically...I'm just scared they're not letting us. :(

The updates you made must be processed before you will be able to log back in for more corrections. Try again tomorrow evening.

Ok thanks. I think I’m confused now though…because when my mom and I made corrections to our FAFSA, we simply logged in and clicked at the bottom ‘Make FAFSA Corrections’ and did it and everything, but I never recieved an SAR e-mail or anything saying it’s been processed? Was I supposed to make the corrections through the SAR e-mail? Because it said:

“Your Student Aid Report (SAR), which contains a summary of your FAFSA information, is now available for you online. Review your SAR as soon as possible to see if any additional information or corrections may be needed. You must confirm the accuracy of the estimated income information you or your parent reported on your FAFSA after you complete your 2010 tax returns. After comparing the information on your FAFSA with the information on your tax return, you must correct any FAFSA information that is not accurate and you must also update FAFSA questions #32 (#79 for parents) to “already completed” to indicate that your information is now based on completed tax returns.”

But when we did this I didn’t click on that link in the SAR e-mail. :(

We made the corrections of 2/8/11 and the first official time we filled it out was 1/6/11. I got the SAR report the next day.
