No Mas

Big difference between those middle-aged grads who volunteer as BGOs [very appropriate use of time. In fact, it is shame more alumin don't volunteer as BGO. My uncle, a BGO, told me that less than 50% of BGOs are alumni] and those who have nothing better to do than post incessantly on this website. Thus Grad69 uses one example to find fault in another that is unrelated.

Big difference between a graduate of five years ago who may have some relevant knowledge and one who graduated 15 or 20 years ago. While many things remain the same, much, very much, has changed. In any event, big difference between one who seeks to answer questions about Academy or service life and one who seeks to instigate political discussion or otherwise berate others because they disagree w/ his assessment of life. Although this appears to have really gone away in the last semester.

Actually, just looking at it quickly, it is easy to skim over GAs postings. Although I agree that there are too many ofthem. Like I said, doesn't this guy have anything better to do than receive every article (courtesy of Google I'm guessing) that includes USNA in the text.

It's okay, I don't visit here very often anymore. NOt many Mids do; too much else to do.
Good luck.
It's a great place. Try your best to get in. What else can you say.

So if a BGO does not get paid and if a BGO is a Lt Commander in Reserves, Is his BGO position his reserve duty?? or a volunteer job he performs along with his reserve duty and separate from reserve duty? Just curious.

volunteer duty on top of his reserve duty. If you're interested in what's going on with the Mids on the Yard, you can access the Trident on the USNA Public Affairs web site.. www.usna.edu/PAO

^^^ or just go directly to the Trident at:

I keep it bookmarked at check it Friday's when it is issued.

JT ... lighten up a bit, man. Someday you'll be punished by parenting children, and you too will suddenly become dumb. Or maybe you'll just have a wife to confirm.

The Academy, thank God, is not Notre Dame or Princeton. Sometime, probably before you are aged 40, you will realize it.

Well said, Shipmate. :)

LOL! The Truth is seriously flowing here, tonight! :D

I'll just throw my two cents into this mix: Start three threads: Navy Sports News, USNA News, and Navy News, and put all the articles into those three threads. Information is available, yet manageable. Just an idea...

I couldn't agree more with Z's comprimise.

I'll start a new thread on Navy Sports as suggested by WP and the Z-man. I hope that this makes the nay sayers happy. :)
