Is it true that the general student body at SU doesn't mix (i.e.: ethnic groups, races, classes/economic statuses). If so, to what extent does it range. Is it like ^90% keep to themselves?

I'm really worried about this because I'm the type of person who likes hanging out with all kinds of people, and it would really suck spending 4 years of my life in that kind of environment.

p.s. I already sent in my deposit for CAS and plan on going to 'cuse in the fall, but would like some clarification on the topic.

Yeah ethnic groups tend to stick to themselves which drives me nuts sometimes. But if you're the kind of person who likes a nice mix, you'll make it happen.
I always gravitate towards religiously diverse groups...not intentionally, I just do.
My "group" in high school: a hindu, a jew, a catholic, a protestant.
My "group" in college: a hindu, a jew, a catholic, a protestant.

Yeah, I thought that was kinda funny.

if you want to mix...do so...when i was there for summercollege i was cool with ppl of all races and ethnic backgrounds. GO AHEAD! lol. forget about what everyone else is doing.
