Has anyone heard of a bill passing that would prevent FSU and UF from accepting any dual enrollment/AP/IB credits? One of my friends told me about it, but it sounded totally bogus. I just wanna make sure its false, before i turn down UCF.

I do not think they would not accept any DE/AP/IB credits however they are seeking to put some limitations what they accept. Some of us come to UF as freshmen with all math, English, science and/or foreign language GE requirements done and may not have to do any university level course work in a certain subjects. They are proposing a mandatory set of credits (9-12) that every incoming student must complete regardless of DE/AP/IB credits to make sure they have a common level of knowledge.
Just wondering how this would effect graduation times? It would make it more difficult to graduate in 4 years esp if one is seeking double major or marjor and minor.

Yeah, while searching to find what he could be talking about, I found the bill proposing that. Pretty weird. It would be a major inconvenience for those entering universities with no college credits at all. Not sure how they could graduate in 4 years without taking full summer loads.

Here is an article that addresses this issue:
[Florida college graduation requirements could change | Gainesville.com](http://www.gainesville.com/article/20120302/WIRE/120309897/1034?p=1&tc=pg)

on the plus side, none of that would come into effect until 2014. Guess I’m in the clear either way(:
