<p>I thought Rice gave $1000/year for National Merit Finalist if Rice was designated as their First choice. I cannot seem to find this information anymore at Rice University web site. They do not offer this anymore ?</p>
<p>I know they are still honoring existing students scholarship, but I do not know about if they are offering it currently… let me google it and see… Ah I do not see it either. Perhaps you should contact Rice. I believe the email addy is finaid @ rice.edu</p>

<p>Beginning with the 2013-2014 academic year, Rice University will not participate in the college sponsored National Merit scholarship.</p>
