I have more than 5 APs. Where do I list the rest of them on the online application?

They only have space for five because they only care about your five best.

Unless you have more than 5 scores of "5," don't worry about it.

I kinda have 6 5's...also, where on the applicaton does it say I can submit a supplementary recommendation? I read the app cover to cover, but I might just have missed it.

I really wouldn't bother. Once you have five 5s, the admissions committee gets it: you're smart. If they wanted more, they'd give more space.

Mmmk, any answer to the other question? Thanks for the help.

where on the applicaton does it say I can submit a supplementary recommendation?

Submit it with the other recommendation, without the official form that goes with the official recommendations. You can do this, even if it not explicitly said.

all right. thanks jpps and thinkjose.

don't let them know you have 6 fives.

They will think you are crazy--not for getting those grades but for submitting anything just to let them know you did.

I e-mailed my regional director about this, and this is how he responded: "Do the best you can." Thanks Mr. Chamberlin. ;) I guess they don't take more than 5 APs.

Fortunately, my school sends AP scores as part of the Secondary School Report.. I would see if that's possible at your school. That way, it'll look like you got six 5s but that you weren't anal and went out of your way to send them your scores in a supplementary rec but they'll still know what scores you got :)

that's the smartest way, gmman.

NO, you should tell them that you have 6 APs with 5s. I can't remember if there was an area to write an extra information about yourself, but, if there is, you should write it there.

I think this is a particularly good example of where applicants can go wrong. The difference between posting 5 AP scores of a 5 and 6 scores is non-existent. You aren't going to gain anything by using some of your maybe 15 minutes infront of your adcom rep in presenting that sixth AP grade. Once you get to a certain point, it is all about using your time/application to show passion, drive, and personality. Five grades of 5 on other tests would certainly put you at that point. Pick the five strongest subjects/tests that relate to your application and figure out how can you better use the thirty seconds you save.

One more might not make a difference but if you have 10 5s then that's definately a hook and should be noted

In all cases, especially this one, the best answer is "Use your best judgment"

arent you going to send your ap scores to penn >they should see it from there, also you could combine physics and the econ scores

pick 5..pick the 5 hardest and the 5 that most apply to your school or area of interest

Also, if I'm doing Huntsman, should I include my AP Spanish 4. It'll mean not mentioning 2 5's?

What APs have you taken?

You know what, I'm an idiot. I'm sending a resume anyway. And they're all on there. Sorry everyone who spent their time on this. Allright jpps, this was a stupid question. I admit it.
