No online app?

I can't find a link for the online application option at Georgetown. Does one exist?

No. Georgetown gives you a PDF version of the application in which you can type in if you have the full Adobe Acrobat application. There is no online application.

I think Georgetown purposely does this (as well as not being a Common App participant) to see who really is interested in Georgetown, rather than just copying and pasting (or just pressing send), you actually have to download the PDF, fill out the form, write a short answer and an essay... in other words, put in the extra time to do all this, so only the applicants who are most interested in Georgetown are likely to do all this...

What do you mean "full Adobe Acrobat Application"? I downloaded the pdf, But I am not able to type in it.

Because you only have Adobe Acrobat READER...u need the real Adobe Acrobat product.... which = $$$

oh ok gotcha. I guess I'll just have to print it out! Thanks!!

And this goes to everyone in general: don't fret about writing it out. If this bothered Georgetown, they would have an online application. But for those who do have the full version of Acrobat (it comes with the CS package), then feel free to type it in.

Can we type the essays and print them out on a separate sheet?
How should we attach the essays?

Yes, that's what I did. I have the Adobe Creative Suite, which includes the full version of Acrobat, and so I typed into the application everything but the final essay. The Activity Essay can also be typed onto the application. I then added the final essay to the end of the application, with enough personal information on it so that they could match it to my file if it got misplaced.

I could not type into the application until just this week. Maybe they fixed it?

I haven't purchased Adobe Acrobat, I just downloaded the free Acrobat Reader online...

You know, there are plenty of places online where you could find the full version of Acrobat for $free.99. Not saying I did this when I applied or anything...

The Reader software has been updated quite a bit recently, and maybe Georgetown changed their application. If so, that is great news as almost everyone will be able to type their applications now.

Hey about the "special talents or skills" can I put down avid reader? lol is that really a talent? If not, then I don't think I have any....

^yeah, go ahead and put it down. that's really just a section to elaborate on your hobbies, quirky things you do for fun, etc.

any new updates on this?
