No Online Decision?

Now, I wouldn't be shocked to have been rejected. Anyways, I opened the decision and I got a weird limbo response instead:

"Cornell University’s Undergraduate Admissions Office does not have an online decision for you at this time. Please refer to the decision letter that you will be receiving in the mail shortly."

Is that just the way they phrase rejection nicely? Or does it usually tell you more clearly? It says my application has been submitted and everything. I got everything in on time... Did anyone else get this? What does it mean?

Could be anything, I got rejected online. Maybe waitlist?

I’m sorry about your rejection. : (
I did think of that too, but the waitlist people seemed to find it recognizable when they said that they were waitlisted. It could be though. It’s so ambiguious.

Mine refuses to show up as well. I think it either means that they never came to a decision about your application or… i dont know. that’s the only thing i can think of. But they are definitely sending out letters? because im getting tired of sitting around for my password to come

Its cool, thanks though. Did you submit your app late? That could be it

Maybe, I think the Cornell Common App stuff was all submitted by mid-December. My financial aid forms took forever to process into the server, but everything else was factored in the system pre-deadlines. Maybe that caused a delay? Or maybe they misplaced one of my materials or something? Gahh. I want to know why. Thanks for trying to help though!
