I haven’t gotten either a rejection or acceptance letter from Penn State yet. I sent my transcript on October 22nd, then quickly after they noted that they recieved it. However, after almost a month and a half, I have yet to hear from them.
My Friends and people on this board that had applied after me have even recieved their decisions in the mail. My Web Account still is coming up “Your application is complete and is currently being reviewed. Thanks for applying to Penn State.”
What should I do? I really would like to get any problems fixed (if there are any) before they go on Christmas break on the 16th to January 2nd.
Should I email or call them and ask if there are any holes in my application that is delaying the process? I don’t know what to do, it’ my first choice and I really would like to know ASAP. It’s killing me!!!

I think you could call the admissions office to find out when the decision is likely ot be made; if it's true that people you know who have applied after you have already heard then there may indeed be something they want to clarify. You might also ask your college counselor about this before you call; he or she might be able to call for you.

Colgate, that was what I was thinking, but in Rolling Admissions, can they even do that? I assumed that the maybe applicants were used in regular decision when they can determine how many people they have accepted all at once.

The only thing that is making me nervous about it is how friends of mine who applied later than I did (from the same school) got in. Thats how I become confused.

but, then again, i submitted my application in early september (out of state)...however, i must note that the guy that visited our school to discuss penn state said that they make decisions early on the people that are clearly in or out...and that they spend more time on the borderline people reviewing their personal statements etc...so, you might be borderline...
