Don’t now why the question is being asked when Dartmouth specifically states the following:

What are “legacy” students and what is Dartmouth’s policy on admitting them?

Applicants are considered “legacies” if either parent graduated from Dartmouth. Though the College values its long-term relationship with alumni, legacy candidates must still meet Dartmouth’s rigorous admissions criteria. Visit the Class Profile page on the Undergraduate Admissions web site to see what percentage of the most recently-admitted class are the children of Dartmouth alumni.
