No point in taking more than 3 subject tests right?

I've already taken 2 subject tests... considering 3 more, all of which I'm pretty confident in.

Do colleges actually look beyond the 3 sat subjects they require? or is it just pointless to take more than 3.

if it isn't going to help me that much I rather save the $50+ i have to spend taking 1 SAT II (int'l test center)...

Depending on what scores did you receive ?
If you received two 800 scores, I would take only one more Subject test and aim to get an 800 on that one as well.(Instead of taking 3 more and getting mediocre scores)So if this is your case; Pick a third subject test based on what you know the best ; example: If you are great with chemistry , and you didn’t write it already, write a third test in chemistry.
What are your other stats, write them so that we can help you make a better decision, without other stats it is much harder to tell what would be best in your situation.

760 US and 800 math ii.

science is something i’m gonna take so at least there’s sat ii bio and probably chem.

and last one i’m considering is lit

and lit… well i figured that i almost always -0 for CR passage reading in SAT (tho some have told me taht CR is nothing compared to sat ii lit) and am doing well in ap lang right now

Bio and chem. Pick one. Not both

Only take more than 3 if

 1. You’re homeschooled
 2. You scored crappy on 1 or more of the first 3

no need. it will make you look like a test obessed student

I believe Harvard is the only school that requires 3 subject tests, and every other top school requires 2 or none…id take one in science definitely, since if ur going to major in a science or engineering in college or ur applying to a school like CalTech or MIT then def take a science one, hope this helps

^No georgetown also requires 3. So does radcliffe colleges

and princeton
