No portal?

I submitted my app a few weeks ago but Bates hasn’t emailed me to say they’ve received my application or to give me a link to a portal to check on documents. Does anyone else have this problem?

My D has the same issue. The Common App shows it as submitted so she is not freaking out but I think she will email them this week just for peace of mind.

@LeftofPisa‌ , I just emailed admissions and they sent back an automated response saying that it takes weeks for them to process applications. They will send a letter in the mail containing a user id and PIN so the student can check on their documents.

I haven’t received a letter yet …
The date for notification from Bates for ED2 is approaching, therefore I am currently very anxious.
I emailed them asking for a tracking number. Hopefully they would reply quickly.

@MinhSu1411 that’s rough :frowning: Bates admission office is a little bit unorganized - hard to contact them, impossible to get id/pin unless you badger them, takes weeks for them to respond to your emails. I would assume that if you applied ED2, they’re going over your application right now and would notice if anything was missing. I would hope they would then contact you so you can fix it.

Haha I believe my application is completed without any missing part.
Just get anxious because I haven’t got my Portal to be ready to check for the admission decision :disappointed:
I’m wondering if any ED2 applicant has the same problem though ._.

@dennael Hey I have just called Bates Admission Office and asked them about the letter. They asked me for some information of mine and then finally provided me with my ID and PIN. Now I can log in to Bates Application Status Page.
If the letter takes endless time to get to you, maybe you should call them and ask them to give you the ID/PIN directly via phone!

hi, I am an international applicant from China. I did not received any mail for the past two months… so I called the admission office and asked for my ID and PIN, but after i got it, where can I check my application status? I couldn’t find anywhere to login. Pls help. thanks

Hey @collegedreams11 You have to call them to receive your PIN and ID. I’m international too, by the way :slight_smile:

You will receive an email with the link I guess
