No SAT II s?

I’m in a situation where I had just realized that it might be too late to take SAT Subject Tests.

I found out that CMU and Cornell are schools that require SAT Subject Tests (which I unfortunately haven’t taken), and am unsure if they will accept any tests later than that. Is there still a chance that I might be able to make it in time? Also, is it possible that APs Exams can replace SAT Subject Tests?

AP tests do not replace the SAT subject tests at either school. CMU doesn’t state when the subject tests are due, but in the absence of a statement to the contrary, I would assume by the application deadline. Cornell does state that it must receive the scores by the application deadline.

Is it likely that they will accept tests taken in this January? It seems that the two schools just want an immediate application package and anything later than that will not be considered.

Also, if I do not complete the required Subject Test submissions, will my chances of acceptance become 0%?

  1. No
  2. Yes

Cornell is pretty lenient about taking supplemental stuff late for ED at least. I would call and ask. If they’re required for the college you’re applying to and you have none your chances will be reduced but there’s no such thing as no chance as long as you submit an application : )

I see, thanks for the encouragement! I’ll try to make the best with what I have and if its a rejection then its a rejection.
Better than no chance at all!

Which Cornell undergrad college are you applying to? CALS, CHE, IRL, and Hotel do not require them.

At the very least it would be construed as a lack of interest that you didn’t bother to read the appication requirements or plan properly.

@Chrysanthemum14 I’m applying to Cornell CAS and sadly its required :frowning:
