no SAT subject tests because bad SAT reasoning score

I recieved a bad score on my first SAT attempt(high 1700's) but did very well on the ACT test(32 composite)

Just for future notice if i decide not to send my SAT scores, which means no subject tests either, will this hurt me as an applicant.

Depends on which schools you're applying to. The schools my S applied to preferred SAT scores, so S sent them. It might be worthwhile considering re-taking your SATI & taking SATII tests, depending on which schools you're interested in (Us are supposed to be only interested in your highest scores anyway). Your college counselor should be able to provide more guidance as to your specific Us. I've read of some kids who just sent their ACT scores & got into fine Us.

Don't bother with the SAT again, your ACT score is much better. No need to retake it. If you take subject tests, just send them and the college will ignore SAT scores.

Yep, they will ignore them. If the school requires or recommends SAT IIs, then you need to take them. If they're required and you don't take them, they won't consider you. If they're recommended and you don't take them, your application will be less competitive.

what if they dont recommend them????/

Then it depends on how good they are: will they enhance your application or not?
