I am currently in 10th grade. I heard that there is no more SATII Writing since the SAT1 now has a writing component. Is this true?
Also I am undecided which 3 SAT2s to take. I am taking Hons. Chemistry this year, Hons. Algebra2 and European History(no Hons in my school). Next year I will be taking AP Chemistry,AP US History, Hons. Physics, Hons. Pre Calc. and Hons Spanish4.
Question: 1) What to take in place of SAT2 writing? 2) If I were to take SAT2 Chemistry, should I take it this year or after AP Chemistry. 3) If I want to apply to a competitive school, Is it ok just to take SAT 2 Math 1C, if so do I take it this year? I do not even know which SAT2s I should be taking and the registration dateline is drawing close.
I am trying to spread some of the SAT2s this year since next year I will definitely be taking the AP exams for Chemistry, US History and English besides whatever SAT2s I have to take (not to mention the SAT1 as well).
Any advice will be appreciate.

Chemistry - after AP Chem
US History - after APUSH
Math IIC - with a little self-study

Math IC is and has never really been that valid of a test. Now that the regular SAT math is somewhat at that level, Math IIC is the only option. It's good to have all of your SAT IIs and APs at the same time. That way you don't need to study twice and one test will reinforce the knowledge for the other.

So it is not too much to take all the 3 SATII as well as the APs next year . That will be 7 exams or 8 if I decide to include SATII Spanish. There is also the SAT!.
