ok, ok... there are some good universities like PENN STATE which do not ask for SATs to international students.. which is pretty cool. Do any of you know of other good univerisites which do not ask for SATs or other like Notre Dame which considers a 1100 in the SAT is very competitive for an intl student???? PLEASE PEOPLE HELP ME OUT HERE

OH yeah, if anyone knows about universities which are very generous when it comes to financial aid... University of Richmond for example offers the same financial aid for us citizens and non us applicants.

if you DON'T ask for Financial Aid, that is - they would be very happy to have you with an over 1100, just don't ask for money!

Most top 25 LACs and Colleges offer Financial Aid packages of practically the same quality to US citizens and foreigners alike. Be advised though, that this does not mean it is as easy to get one of those packages if you are an international as it would have been if you were a US-citizen/permanent resident. That is, it is very hard to get that Financial Aid package as an international, but once you have secured it, you are treated as the US nationals are (sometimes even better).

Oh yeah, and Penn State, it is not exactly known for its generosity in awarding Financial Aid to internationals.
Take that stupid SAT - it may be a retarded test, but you can't do without it!

I'm not saying i'm looking for a good university that offers both financial aid and does not ask for very high sats. i'm just asking if u know one or the other. i have taken the sat but it's not a WOW score... i got a 1200 so not very good. my sat might not be very high but i've got a 3.9 gpa (unwei.), good ECs, and excellent recommendations. so i'm looking for good universities, but obviously not the TOP ones 'cos my sat score pretty much screws me up! any other info would be very helpful.

sorry if i sounded rude....... i understand ur point pretty well now..... yes there are couple of ones ...but more specifically i wud advise retaking the sat once .then with whatever score u get..try applyng to gud places....... There are exceptions each yr and since ur other things are cool u may be the one exception this year.. so go ahead .....
