I'm a senior right now, and I'm planning on taking a year off and applying to college next year. I've taken 4 science courses (physics, biology, accelerated biology, and chemistry) I was planning on taking AP Bio, but then I moved midway through junior year and my new school has no AP classes or honors.

I did not take any science courses this year at all because it was all review honestly and I also lost interest in science. I plan on applying to Arts and business programs. Will taking 0 science courses affect my chances at top schools ?

Since you have 4 sciences, you’re fine. But in that case, you need to “double up” on another subject related to what you hope to major in. Provide your guidance counselor with a list of important elements (including the fact your current school doesn’t have AP/Honors but you were on track for that if it’d been offered.) Do the same for your teachers. Tell them you will only apply in a year but you know things will be fresh in their mind now and it’ll be easier to just bring up the letters next November.
If you take a gap year, DO NOT take any class BTW and do something useful or important to you.

Thanks MYOS1234!

Anyone else wanna give their opinion?
