No science in senior year.

Currently i'm taking 6 AP's right now. I want to drop AP Physics, because its a huge workload. I've taken 4 science classes through high school, Biology, Chem, Chem AP, and Bio AP, but do coilleges want to see 4 YEARS of science? Im just wondering if having no science senior year wil drastically affect admissions into colleges... specifically UCLA is what i'm most concerned about.

Highly selective schools prefer four years of each academic discipline, which you already have. Unless you are applying to the college of engineering, it won't likely affect your app.

Off topic, but...

Why do these 'I want to drop this class, will it be ok' posts always seem to be about physics?

...I hate physics. I dropped honors physics my senior year after 4 hours of (just physics) homework the very first night of school. I don't blame you, or anyone else.

Do you want to major in a science? If not, it's probably okay to drop physics. Colleges like to see four years of science, including lab courses, and you did this, only in three years. In HS I did approx 5 years of math in three years, none taken my senior year, and I got in no problem.

OR- just talk to your GC and tell them your concerns! They'll probably have more accurate answers than us, since we don't know the schools you're applying to, your academic history, your graduation requirements, etc.

what about reg. physics? I opted for reg. physics this year (6 ap classes with no study hall=ouch). And I don't regret it. :)

I LOVE physics....

Me too... I'm taking honors physics and AP bio this year. Major contrast. Physics is all math, so it's easy but confusing. Bio is all memorization, so it's straightforward but difficult.

Because physics is HARD!
I like it though...challenging but interesting.
