I'm a sophomore right now and a couple weeks ago i chose my classes for next year. At the time I was content with it but now I'm having doubts
I chose:
AP Language
AP Calc AB
AP U.S. History
AP Chinese
two electives (yearbook and virtual business)

I took AP Chemistry this year and realized that I'm really not a science person. It just doesn't spark any interest for me. So, it seemed logical that i could skip science junior year and wait until senior year to take AP Biology, which will be extremely time-consuming. BUT I'm wondering if the rigor of my schedule for next year is appropriate. I have a 4.0 GPA and am taking honors classes (and the one AP this year) so maybe four academic classes is a little too under-achieving?

Basically, I'm wondering if I should give up an AP and replace it with 2 honors class just so I could get the 5 academic courses.

Any advice or input would be helpful, thanks! :]

*Note: This is not ultra-important since I'm not going to pursue a science major in college, but I'd like to know if I'm hurting my chances at high-ranked colleges.

No, it's not risky. How many science classes have you taken? Just remember that most colleges recommend, if not require, three so you'll probably have to take one next year.

Don't worry about it. Your schedule is pretty rigorous, so it's clear you're not slacking off. As long as you pursue your other interests, most liberal arts colleges won't care that you skipped a year of science.

If science isn't your niche (sp?) that's totally fine. I mean, obviously, if you wanted to got to MIT or CalTech or something, that would be a problem, but you oviously don't, so just make sure that your individual talents stand out and you'll be fine.
