Ok, I'm trying to schedule my course load for senior year, but I just don't have enough room! After this year, I will have 4 science credits (h bio, h chem, AP Chem, and AP Environmental Science). I'm considering double majoring in Political Science and Finance with a minor in Arabic or Mandarin. The colleges of which I aspire to attend are University of Chicago, Georgetown, or UW Madison (I'm in state). Would not taking a science have adverse effects?

During your senior year, colleges will judge your senior year by how intense your course load is. This can realistically hurt you with the University of Chicago, which has an 8.8% acceptance rate, making them a tough nut to crack and get into. I would take a science to make yourself look more competitive.

Thanks for the advice! I’ll do it; being well rounded is important.

Now time to choose among H Physics/AP Physics C/AP Bio…

You should take physics.

I think I’ll do AP too. Our teacher majored in astrophysics and worked for NASA before discovering that he was happiest when teaching. Then he became a teacher! He’s insanely intelligent.
