Hi, this is my first time posting. I plan on applying to Columbia this fall. I have already taken Regular Biology, Honors Chemistry, AP Biology, and Honors Physics. Would it be okay if I did not take a science during my senior year? I will still have a challenging schedule but rather than taking two sciences like this year, I am taking two history classes next year. Is that a bad thing?

i only took 3 science classes in high school.
so i guess it doesn’t really matter lol… unless ur applying seas?

I think whether you take science classes depends on your intended major, areas of interest, and the general focus of your application (e.g. do you come off as a humanities or a hardcore math guy?).

cheers

^I agree with the other posts as well.
Not counting Freshman Integrated Science… I only took 3 actual science courses too… still got in. If you’re dropping a science class to make room for another subject, rather than just have an open period… I think you’ll be okay! (:

Looks like you’re fine as long as you’ve fulfilled all your requirements.
