No Semi-Finalist Notification?

I submitted my Coca-Cola Scholars application back in October, and I received an email confirmation when I registered my account for the application. However, I still haven't received anything about being either accepted or rejected from the semi-finalist list. Has anyone else applied and not yet been notified?

I think most people who haven’t been notified are just assuming they aren’t SFs. I don’t know if Coca Cola ever said anything about it, but I think at this point it’s safe to say that if you haven’t received anything yet then you probably aren’t a SF.

Don’t assume this - my daughter didn’t receive a pro or con email, finally called yesterday and found out she’s a semi-finalist. We’re now scrambling to get the app put together. Call 800-306-2653.

That’s so frusterating!

Sorry for my post then - I had just assumed that all the SFs would have been notified by now…but we all know what assuming does…

As proud dad said, there have been a number of communication and computer problems at Coca-Cola Scholars this year. Many people have had to make calls to Coca Cola Scholars, and from what I have read, the letters have not reached the semi-finalists yet. The semifinalist list has not yet been posted either, although it is supposed to be posted this week. Not holing my breath that will happen ;).If you have not heard anything, and nothing is in your spam folder, call them to verify.

@Positronic I applied in early December and have not received any communication from Coca-Cola either (besides the initial registration confirmation email).

and thanks prouddad, I will try calling them on Monday!

lemur…the application closed 10/30. If you were able to apply in early december, your application was probably not processed. Could you have applied earlier? Or did you apply for the community college schoalrship? I know that one had an extended date of December 7th, I think?

DD just heard early this week by email that she is not a semi-finalist.

dentmom4- just be aware that an email that says she is not a semi-finalist does not mean that she is not. This year, if she updated her application at any point it seems to have created a duplicate application. So, for every update, she should have recieved a rejection email. Most applicants that moved forward to semi-finalist received notification they qualified to move forward, plus received a number of rejection emails. As prouddad pointed out, his daughter did not receive any of the emails, and when they called, found out that his daughter did advance, and are scrambling to get info in.

My advice would be to call. If the list of semifinalists had been released, you would be able to check that. But it has not yet been released, which further complicates this process.

Good luck to your daughter!
