This pasted from Georgetown's undergraduate admissions website:

May 11, 2009 New York Times reported that Georgetown still has openings in its first year class. This is not correct. While we thank you for your interest, Georgetown University is not accepting applications for the Class of 2013.

Does this indicate that waitlist activity has ceased (hopefully not!), or simply mean they are not accepting further applications from new applicants for 2013?

no more new applicants… the deadline for applications has wayy passed…

i called today - they said they were still working through the wait list and that everyone would hear definitively one way or another - just would not say by when

Would anyone mind posting a link to the article? I searched for it on the NY Times website but was unable to locate it. Thank you!
Also, if you find anything out about the waitlist please continue posting, the information is so helpful to the rest of us!

Here’s the NY Times article.

I was supposed to hear a decision by the 15th, but didnt hear from them.
Anyone know whats going on?

^ why were you supposed to hear from them? did they call you?

In the original waitlist letter, the school said they would contact everyone by the 15th.

The email said decisions would be MAILED by the 15th, so everyone should get a letter in the mail this week…I think…I don’t think its an email or phone call. I just looked at the email they sent and it said decisions would be mailed.
