No spam from colleges yet?

I'm a junior I've been hearing a lot of kids at school talk about getting loads of emails from colleges, but I haven't gotten a single one. I took the PSAT in october and can be fairly certain I put my email on it. my old email provided by ISP was cancelled last year but that was long before I took the PSAT and signed up for the new one. Just fact that everyone else seems to be receiving them worries me a little. I got an average score of 160 on the psat, but I know other kids who got similar scores and are receiving mail.

…and?

I didn’t get emails until June of senior year, don’t worry.

Why do you want the spam? They’re not that useful…

I never got spam except from Columbia, and my SAT scores are pretty high. I wouldn’t worry about it. Besides, spam doesn’t mean that colleges will accept you- it just means that they got your name from the collegeboard.

…I’ve been getting spam since 9th grade… I don’t know what else to tell you :(

You may have not checked the tiny box that says “I allow colleges to contact me” that was on the PSAT when you took it.

If anything, just request information from the websites of each college you are interested in.

This does NOT reflect your chances to get into college. No worries.

CRJ700 I’m a sophomore who took the PSATs and have the same problem as you

Don’t worry about it, it’s not a problem. It just means you either didn’t check the box on the PSAT or haven’t been giving out your emails to colleges. I didn’t get spam until a month after I got into my top school lol.
