So I sent in my Common App earlier on, but I ended up not having the time for the supplement. I thought they wouldn't get my application then, but I just got an email saying that they received my app and with a Cornell ApplicantID. Is it still worth it to send in a supplement, or has that ship sailed by now?

If someone has any direct experience with this, they can of course correct me, but I’d think that not sending in a key part of the application until a week after the deadline is pretty irredeemable. The email is auto-generated and sent to whoever submitted an application (apparently, whether it was complete or incomplete).

That being said, you have nothing to lose by trying. Good luck.

yeah i would definitely send it even though i have no idea what would happen. most apps don’t get reviewed until feb.

Send it. You’ve anyway paid up, haven’t you??
And they might excuse it!!
Plus they haven’t yet downloaded all the apps, so if you send it ASAP - yours will get downloaded!!

I would go ahead and submit it–I heard Northwestern will accept your supplement up to two weeks after the deadline, so theres always a chance Cornell could do the same?

Schools might accept it (one more completed application adds to their selectivity for rankings), but I would think that forgetting the supplement (which is specific to Cornell) until now is not going to reflect well, even if they do accept it. If you have extenuating circumstances, email and explain to your regional officer.

(Or, you can call and ask the admissions office anonymously.)
