I'm not qualified for UCD's TAG. I have a 3.0 GPA right now with a REALLY strong upward trend(2.6 one semester, 3.5 the next). I really screwed up when I first got to CC. I have about a 3.8-4.0 GPA in my requirements for admission (I'm a psych major). By fall, I'll have about a 3.2-3.4 GPA if I work hard. Oh btw, I'm 17 years old if that helps. I'm applying as a junior level transfer to UCD, UCI, UCSC, UCSD(for kicks). Can someone enlighten me on where I stand for UC Davis? Thanks!

I need help! Bump

Your TAG won’t be approved unless you have a 3.5 for UCSD, a 3.2 for UCD and UCI, but you can get approved with a 3.0 for UCSC.

I would TAG to UCSC to create a solid back-up plan for yourself since it’s the only one you can TAG to. Then so long as your major isn’t impacted, I’d say you have a pretty good shot at getting into the other schools through the traditional application pathway. Good luck to you.

In case you haven’t seen it: http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/counselors/files/ETS11_TAGMatrix_rev070111.pdf

Thank you! What GPA would I need to have the highest chance of getting into Davis?
I have a really good GPA in my pre-reqs for the psych major at UCD (3.8-4.0) will this help? I’ll also finish IGETC by the end of spring 2012.

i honestly think you’ll be able to get into davis, if you have good EC’s, an upward trend, and pre reqs completed with great grades. davis cares about you being an incoming junior and graduating on time with your MAJOR, not having a high liberal arts GPA, makes sense right?
