<p>No, but I do know that many schools mostly prefer to see little in the way of teacher recs because it is more reading for them and recs are going to be positive or you wouldnt have asked teacher to write it.</p>

<p>I’ve also often wondered if the reason the Calif publics don’t require them is because the CA teachers union is very powerful and they would have complained if their teachers were expected to spend a lot of personal time writing recs.</p>
