What is Rutgers honors as opposed to regular Rutgers?

Hey bigu212-

I'm in the Rutgers College Honors Program. (I actually posted earlier on this thread last year :) )

Anyway, the Honors Program has a bunch of advantages. You can find out more info about the program here: http://rchonors.rutgers.edu

cuny honors college is EXTREMELY difficult to get into. i was waitlisted for baruch honors.

i know someone who turned down harvard and MIT for an INSTATE school

and i live in alabama, what gives! and i really don't think it was a money issue.

When I was visiting Tufts, I met a freshman who turned down Harvard to go to TU.

lol I read a post on this thread about someone being adamant about getting a FREE college education....

lol I must say that I agree. EDUCATION IS EDUCATION...especially with undergrad for pre-med. <that's what I'm doin

in general, diffferent colelges may give you a different experience with social life and people and connections you make but in the end, undergrad education pretty much common.

Therefore, I'm taking my full ride to Rutgers School of Engineering Honors Program over Hopkins, Tufts, Haverford, BU, Penn State, TCNJ.

go supermtt...lol just felt like saying that.

yo supermtt are you on facebook?

someone on my street turned down yale for georgia southern

Wow...unless it's financial, that guy blew it...and even so, if he got into Yale, couldn't he do GA Tech or UGA?

I turned down Cornell for University of Rochester simply for the size, though I am now starting to think that Rochester is just as prestigious, if not more, even though its reputation is not as great. I'm really happy with my decision :-]

My friend turned down UCLA for Temple, and it wasn't because of money. A kid in my AP english class turned down Northwestern for Eastern Michigan (he wants to be a doctor, needs to save money) I turned down Michigan State for Bowling Green, but they're about the same. A couple kids have turned down UofM for Michigan Tech. Last year a kid turned down UofM for Western Michigan, to distance himself from his parents. (My high school is 5 minutes outside of UofM)

Not that Temple is bad or anything...

Temple is a solid, underrated school, in my opinion.

I'm well aware. My dad is an Alumna and very well connected at Fox. I'll be there this summer for the B.L.A.
If I dont get into BU im goin there.

The valedictorian this year turned down UMich for a full ride to Wayne State

ouch!!!!!!

A senior last year turned down Columbia for CUNY Honors.
