So, I was just considering registering for an upcoming ACT and then remembered having heard that one cannot use a TI-89 on the ACT? Is this true? If so, what calculators can we use?

ti-83/84+ are good choices.

The TI-Nspire (NOT CAS) is another allowed calculator.

Alright, thanks. Not sure I want to buy an entire new calculator just to take a test though, considering I already have the TI-89. I’ll probably just try borrowing a friend’s, thanks.

Definitely try to borrow a friend’s calculator. The TI-89 is a better calculator so you’d only use the 84 for this test, which would be a complete waste when you can simply borrow one from a friend.
