No Time for TOEFL redo for Early Decision

I will take the TOEFL CBT Tuesday the 11th of October do you guys think that I will recive my decision like by the 25 - 26-27 th of October so I can send to college???

I already did the TOEFL and score 263. I think that is a bit low for me and I can easily score much more than that. The decision arrived in like 15 days.

Yeah, I think that's time enough. Aren't most ED deadlines either November 1st or November 15th? Make sure your four "choices" after you take the TOEFL include your uni. Hopefully it'll be quick and results are sent THERE before it is posted to YOU. (I live in Romania so I got my TOEFL results 3 weeks. :( Not nice.)

But 263 is pretty good, mate.

I know it is good but I am trying to compensate for my SAT in some way . I know I can go for a 280+ easily! I was very nervous (I dont know why)

What was your SAT score? I know the TOEFL CBT was very easy, but sometimes the reading questions can trip you up. AND it can be so boring who wouldn't blame you if during listening your attention wandered...far far away to something more interesting like the CC Forum? :)

I am actually taking the SAT on November only!

I am currently studing for it!

I know it is a very boring test indeed however I think if I get a better score that will improve my chances.

gocollege, you can do better than a 263. really.

unrelated: i entered the exam hall half hr late, and came out 1.5 hrs earlier.

ya any body can get a 270+ in toefl with basic skills...just concentrate on exam

GoCollege, you could try taking the TOEFL one more time, I guess. Where are you applying ED? Some colleges (i.e. Amherst) would waive their TOEFL requirement if you are above a certain verbal & writing SAT threshold.
