No transcript!

I’m asking this for my boyfriend. He was on a football scholarship and long story short he got screwed over and now owes the school for the remainder of his scholarship. It was a private school so they tacked on a bunch of fees and now he owes close to 9000. They submitted the dept to a collections agency now and it seems like every time he makes a payment it’s barely helping. That’s the last school he went to and he acquired 30 for the years and is sick about that going to waste. He wants to try fake transcripts but I am desperately trying to talk him out of it because I would hate for him to be caught and be in an even worse situation. Does anyone have any experience or advice on this? He is so determined to get back in school and I’m trying to help in any way I can. Any advice on fake transcripts, schools that don’t require transcripts, talking and pleading with admissions offices, disputing the debt, not submitting his last transcript? Will he get caught? Any advice is welcomed, please nothing negative.

I don’t want to be negative, I don’t think any of above will work. You could post this on the Financial Aid and Scholarship section and there is alot of people who could probably give you more definitive advise. From what I have read, colleges require you to pay back the original loans before they will admit you. Again, I would post this on the other forum and see if they have any other ideas.

Your boyfriend wants to fake transcripts or not submit the last one even though you know it’s wrong and you don’t want negative comments? Sigh.

Falsifying paperwork that allows you to qualify for federal aid is a felony.

How long ago did he attend this school? Why did he lose his scholarship? Start there. If the college did something wrong, appeal. If they didn’t, he has to pay to get his transcripts. Has he tried setting up a payment plan with them? Sometimes if students pay for a period of time colleges will release the transcripts, but since holding them is the only way to make sure they’ll get the money many won’t.
