No Ultra-Awesome EC's

<p>okay first of all the dream universities I want to go to are UCSD UCLA and USC and the like
and unlike the beastly EC's and awards some CC members post on this site
(every time I look at their EC's and awards i feel so small)
I don't have any things that shine
All I have is 4~5 years of Jazz Band
1 year of Global Activists
1 year of Peer Leadership Council
Volunteer work at a Senior Care Center 100+ hours
and some group charity work
I'm in some other clubs as well but I don't feel they would help me too much
1 year of chess club (i think we won a district tournament once but...)
1 year of debate club</p>

<p>I think i missed a few things but that's pretty much my (horrible) stat</p>

<p>so my question is will my SAT or GPA compensate for my EC's?</p>

<p>If you live in Cali, that’ll help your chants immensely. However you are short on extracurriculars so I’d go ahead and show serious passion for one of them. Write your essay about your passion for jazz band or some unique thing about you. The reason I’m saying you should write about jazz band is because that’s the one you showed most commitment to. Anything unique about yourself? Write about that maybe. Good luck</p>
