No water?

We're seriously not allowed to bring a bottle of water with us?

When I took it in April, you were allowed, but it couldn’t be on your desk; there was a separate area that you were required to put it along with your bag.

I brought mine, but i drank it outside of the classroom. you just can’t have it on your desk.

That’s reasonable. Are there any breaks?

according to the website and the supervisor’s manual, no. That seems really strict to me, but then the ACT rules always seem much stricter than the SAT rules.

there are breaks, at least, when i took it last time there was…

I think there is only 1 break

My room got out at 11:45 lol.

mine got out at like 11:30 (no writing)
and I had water, but i put it on the floor, they didn’t care.

Right, but mine was 11:45 with writing. :p

Really? I feel like the SAT’s are stricter. Because it’s the more popular one. When I took the ACT at my school, they used the analog clock, so it wasn’t 100% precise. But when i took the SAT they purposely had a digital clock on the TV so that the timing will be accurate.

wow mine was 12:10 without writing…we just slow i guess

i put mine under my desk. you can’t have it on the desk for obvious reasons

^^^

What are the obvious reasons? Its for writing the answers on the bottle label right? obvious for cheaters maybe…

I’ve always understood it as a rule to help you. They make it a rule so you don’t accidentally spill it on your test and ruin it. Although we all think we’re old enough to handle a bottle of water, I’m sure a few of us would spill it. That’s why you can bring it, but it has to be off your desk.

Because when you spill the water it ruins the scan-tron and your answers would be lost (therefore you just wasted 47$ if you did writing too). That is why you put it under your desk, it’s the same way for any test I take at school.
