ANYWAYS, software engineering undergrad: Berkeley, Carnegie, MIT, or Caltech

Go!

didn’t see that coming

All the programs you listed, except CalTech, are at the top of the field.

Which one is best will depend on you. What are you looking for in a college experience?

You also forgot Stanford. Heh.

if you’re in-state, Cal >>>>>> all of them

^Well, it depends on financial aid.

The rankings are based off graduate programs, not undergrad. I think MIT and Cal-tech grads tend to land better jobs. But they are much more difficult to graduate from and do well at than Berkeley and Carnegie.

Do you want a large or small environment? Do you want more research experience? Are you thinking about graduate school? If you are, I’d lean towards MIT or Cal-tech.
