No Word Yet?

AAAAAA missamericanpie- LOLLL so you basically just implied that if you didn't get a letter by now you were probably rejected... wonderful.

@ob

no, you're just proving my point that neither answer would have been the "right" answer to tell an applicant. student ambassadors don't know whether you're in or not, and when you intially call the office, you're talking to a student. sigh.

in another post... you said you were rejected ED.. what?
so are they still sending out acceptance letters?
:D

@ob

i'm a junior. i applied ED in 2005 and was rejected and applied for transfer in 2007 and was accepted. i'm a double major media/politics in Steinhardt/CAS and i don't pay tuition. class of 2011, at this point.

they're sending out letters. there's probably some acceptance letters mixed in. i don't know! like i've been saying all over this forum, i don't work in the office- i came very close, and i know people who work in the office, but i don't know the inner workings.

lol. again- "letters.. with some acceptances mixed in".. sounds kind of bad. just in case i don't get in- where did you transfer from!! LOLL... im between UCSB and Tulane. :(

What about Steinhardt? No word yet at all, either way.

i'd rather the letter be a rejection letter than wait any longer.

^^they're sending out letters. there's probably some acceptance letters mixed in. i don't know!
Gee thanks, that's real hopeful (helpful). Do you know? If not, why would you say ^^^^

haha lets give missamericanpie some slack..hahah

Sorry, but I'm starting to feel like someone is playing with us here.

missamericanpie has always been super helpful in this forum...

missamerican pie is the bombizzle - your rock for making an attempt to assuage the situation. gratsi.

Still nothing today. My Son is out of MA.

I haven't received my decision yet... I didn't believe a college's admission process could be worse than Carnegie Mellon's. Apparently NYU's admission process is.

okay so i have a friend in nyc who applied to CAS (i think biology)...didnt get an invite...and got an official letter today...my theory is that there are some acceptances in this latest batch, consisting of predominantly rejections, and that my friend got her acceptance today because of her close vicinity to the school...now please dont take this as a false sense of hope...the odds are probably against us..but it thot i would share

Our Tisch tour guide was awesome, too! I guess the auditions explain it all! If it has that much weight on an admission ambassador, the weight must be incredible to get into Tisch!

screw this guys... we're waiting for Godot.

I don't understand why they're taking such a long time with the letters... if you get accepted in the ultra-late batch, does that mean you're less qualified than the people who got likelies? I mean, what system are they using to make decisions, anyway? Do they compare people in the same high school? Why have my peers heard already, yet I (and another unfortunate classmate of mine) haven't? Bleh.

it's complete randomness, don't feel lesser of a candidate

we should send them a really big card with some kind of an allusion to godot.. it'll probably get there before our decisions get here. lol.
