How does it compare to Milton?

I know kids who have been admitted to Nobles, and some who have been admitted to Milton. Both have superb academics and teachers. I assume you are applying this year. Can you say a bit about what you are looking for in a school?

I have read about Drug Busts at Andover and such here on CC which is scary, so the student culture is important to me where the kids are good and serious about academics and sports. I want eliminate schools with a lot of D&A problems.

We are looking into Nobles as well. I have no firsthand info about what it’s like to attend, but my impression thus far, is that Nobles is slightly less academically intense than Milton. That could be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on what you’re looking for. One thing to realize is that Nobles is primarily a day school, with a very small group of 5 day boarders. The 5 day boarding program is unique, and you’ll want to consider the pros and cons for yourself, if you would be a boarder.

So far from my research:

Academics: Strong (Milton), Not as intense (Nobles)

Athletics: Strong (Nobles) Don’t know?? (Milton)

I have read that the SSAT average of incoming Milton students is about 90%, Does any one know the average SSATs of incoming Nobles students?

What about Milton athletics? Which has a better Crew program?

From our read, Milton is way more diverse and and multicultural. That was the main difference, from our family’s perspective.
