My son has been fortunate enough to be admitted to both. He is very advanced in math and science. He plays two sports quite well for our town but probably not at these schools' varsity levels. We are going to revisit these two schools but any insights that any CC member has would be greatly appreciated!

Congratulations to your son! My preference, applying to both, is Belmont Hill. In different sports, one school is better than another, but overall they are the same. Nobles is all about community–be it a uniform summer reading, assembly every day (Wednesday are long assemblies), and events that include the whole school, grades 7-12. Dress code is obvious; Nobles is a relaxed casual, or collared shirt and khakis, and Belmont Hill jacket and tie required.

Both schools place extremely well for all subjects, but BH has some more emphasis on the humanities rather than math and science, while Nobles is evenly-spread. BH has more of an arranged, set, and traditional course set-out and is embedded–but not too deeply–in tradition. An example of that is the woodworking course and wood plate given to all the seniors as their leaving gift. Good luck!

Nobles has slightly better college stats.
