Nomination Applications

I have received a few packets for the nomination process.
This packet requires me to fill out some basic information.

Should I fill out these packets by hand or attempt to type out the information?

Most senators and congressmen have the applications in PDF form on their websites. Download the PDF and open it in Acrobat. You have two options in Acrobat to type in the information- make it into a form or use the typewriter tool. Some of the nomination applications are already made into the "form" version of PDF where you can type in the highlighted fields, but if they aren't made into forms already, I would recommend using the "typewriter" tool and type the information in that way.

It definitely cannot be a bad thing to have a neatly typed application.

My daughter is out of the country so I looked into this issue for her.

First senator did not have the forms on his website; she had to write a letter to request a hard copy packet. I called the staffer and no Word or editable PDF was available so she said to type everything in a separate word document and put 'see attachment' in the form. Our congressman also sent a hardcopy (no forms on his website). I contacted the staffer who emailed me the Word version of the packets so she can type right in the forms. The second senator had downloadable PDF forms on his website but they are not editable. I emailed his staffer but got no response. I'll probably have to call to verify we can do what the 1st senator suggested.

Long way of saying they are all at different levels technologically and it would be best to call or email them. It felt like I was not the first person to ask these questions.
