<p>Ive been reading over in the arch-rival-of-the-Air-Force’s and west points that some people have been getting appointments (LOAs/conditional).</p>
<p>Any news for the Air Force Yet? Only one of my congressional sources has closed their files for nominations and the rest are still a few weeks away so in Illinois no nominations have been out yet. What about other states/sources?</p>
<p>Has AFA started issuing LOAs/Conditionals? I know last year AFA was the last to get on the ball with that department.</p>
<p>Thought id ask and see if anyone has heard anything. My file is now complete and its just waiting…gah worst part! Id rather be doing the PAE several more times and writtings essays that waiting!</p>
<p>My local Congressman says people who are nominated will be notified on Dec. 21 but I asked the lady in charge of nominations if that would be the earliest people would be notified but she said that would be the latest and hopefully much earlier.</p>
<p>Cornyn's application has to be done and postmarked by Oct. 21 and they are issued on Nov. 18.</p>
<p>Hutchison's application has to be IN HER OFFICE by Oct. 27.</p>
<p>I am happy to say that I have hutchison's, cornyn's, and McCaul's packets done and sent in! Feels great! Just have to finish the AFA essays and I'm done....45 days way gone.</p>
<p>I should be knowing my nominations by the end of november. I haven't seen any LOA's out or anything. My ALO said the board starts meeting mid-late october.</p>

<p>The XC Coach told me that the first boards would start meeting in "Mid-October". I took this to mean like right around now, but it could be next week. Does anybody know if they review your file without your ALO Interview? We've set up the location, but not the date or time yet. I want to get it in for the first few boards, expecially if they don't review your file unless you have the interview results in.</p>
<p>From what I've been told, your file won't be reviewed without the ALO interview. According to my ALO, they were supposed to get their interviews in by the 15'th if they knew about you when the first wave of application packets were sent out.</p>
<p>Hmmm. I don't know whats going on with my ALO, but I haven' heard from him in 2 weeks and he was supposed to get back to me about a date/time for our Interview (we already set the location at a local ANG Base-I get to tour an LC-130!). I guess I'll give him a call tommorow, but I still can't help feeling like there may be a reason he hasn't gotten back in touch with me, like maybe he's real busy or something. Ahhh whatever, I'll give him a call.</p>
<p>He may have forgotten, a polite reminder never hurts and will most likely help.</p>
