Nominations in Competitive and Non-Competitive States

I know that there are some states that are very competitive as far as Congressional Nominations. I'm from Nevada. I have been told that so far, our entire state had 89 applicants for the class of 2005. Last week, I had my Nomination interviews. There didn't seem to be too many names on the list. I know that there are more candidates in the northern part of our state.

Does anyone know where we could access the competitiveness of a given state for nominations and admissions?

Thanks for the help.

doug1: You could check the website for your state rep and senators to review past press releases( usually anounce in Dec or Jan). Some MOC's list all nominations for each academy. If there are less than 10 nominations, you will know about the level of competitiveness.
