Nominations

Can anyone tell me how long it takes for the Nomination received to appear on the Candidates log in page (CIS)? We got a phone call from the congressman's
office at the beginning of last week saying my son got the nomination, then a letter came saying it was to the AF academy.
He only requested Annapolis. can't reach the person who called, and it still isn't showing up as received on my son's page!

You should be able to find the phone number to call either on the application or the website - try to ask for the Nominations manager or coordinator or other contact person. Usually it is an office in the home district. If you call a local office someone should be able to assist you. Get ahold of that person and explain what happened. Hopefully, just a misunderstanding on their part in the letter.

Your congressman probably has not submitted his list yet - they have until the end of January to do so.

mdfromct: we have same issue...call said USNA, letter said USMA.(already had one for USMA)..called, it was an error. Still, nothing showing in CIS, although it's been submitted...so we wait! No appointment for Christmas!

Nominations are not due at the Academy (USNA) until December 31st, so your right, you may not get the appointment until after Christmas. However, I thought this was going to be the case with me since i found out via email and waited for two weeks for it to show up on my CIS. then i checked tonight after reading this thread and found that my MOC nom was on file AND (too my suprise, i had no idea) that i got a Senator nom as well....so just wait, it could be coming

I got hopeful after reading your post...but it's not in CIS yet. MOC rep said she entered them on Monday.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
make that date Jan 31st. - that nominations are due to the academy

Don't worry yet. I was nominated by all 3 MOCs on November 20th, but the Senators didn't show until December 1st and the Representative didn't appear until today (December 13th).

I glad to hear that others are waiting for their Nominations to show up on their CIS. I was getting really worried.
